Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct advanced threat hunting and vulnerability assessments across hybrid cloud environments
- Develop and implement security controls to protect critical infrastructure and data
- Lead incident response coordination with cross-functional teams during security breaches
- Perform forensic analysis and create detailed incident reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and NYDFS regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 2+ years in incident response or threat analysis
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or GIAC (e.g., GCFA, GCIH)
- Expertise in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP) and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence tools
- Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Deep understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat actor TTPs
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations with exceptional problem-solving skills
