In this role, you will act as the first line of defense against sophisticated cyber threats, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of critical data assets.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, FireEye, or similar).
- Conduct thorough investigations into potential security breaches and incidents.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to remediate vulnerabilities and implement security controls.
- Assist in the execution of penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
- Prepare and present detailed incident reports and threat intelligence summaries to stakeholders.
- Maintain and update security documentation, policies, and procedures in compliance with NIST and ISO standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Linux, Windows, and scripting languages (Python or Bash).
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
