Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection systems using SIEM and EDR platforms
- Conduct proactive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud/on-premises environments
- Lead incident response coordination for security breaches and cyberattacks
- Develop security policies compliant with NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS standards
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct security awareness training across departments
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Generate executive-level security risk assessments and remediation roadmaps
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations with hands-on threat hunting
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or OSCP required; GIAC certifications preferred
- Expertise in AWS/Azure security architecture and zero-trust implementation
- Proven experience with Splunk, CrowdStrike, or similar security platforms
- Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence methodologies
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (required for role)
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
