Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar) to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Lead and coordinate incident response activities, including forensic analysis and containment strategies.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and NIST frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees.
- Review and analyze security logs to generate reports for executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization technologies.
- Proficiency with security tools including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Endpoint Protection platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
