Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Lead incident response investigations for APTs, ransomware, and zero-day exploits
- Develop and optimize security playbooks for NIST 800-53 compliance
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Collaborate with SOC team to enhance threat hunting capabilities
- Generate executive-level security metrics and trend reports
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 2+ years in SOC operations
- CISSP, CISM, or GIAC certifications (GCIH, GCFA preferred)
- Expertise in network forensics (Wireshark, Zeek) and EDR tools
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell)
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain
