Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network architecture.
- Respond to security incidents and manage the incident response lifecycle, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and NIST frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Manage and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and VPN configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related IT role.
- Professional certification preferred (e.g., CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security frameworks.
- Experience with log analysis and SIEM technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a high-stakes environment.
