Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools such as Splunk or Sentinel.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.
- Investigate security breaches and develop incident response plans to mitigate future risks.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network security.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with security frameworks and risk management methodologies.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
