Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and alerts in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify potential weaknesses.
- Design, implement, and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security controls.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Develop and conduct security awareness training for employees.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency with security tools including Splunk, Qualys, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication skills to articulate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
