Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within the SIEM environment (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in our systems.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Develop and execute playbooks for incident response and disaster recovery scenarios.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably within a SOC environment.
- Active CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Relevant experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) tools.
