Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans and manage remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
- Respond to security incidents and execute incident response plans to minimize impact.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus solutions.
- Perform periodic penetration testing and security assessments to evaluate system integrity.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a cybersecurity or SOC environment.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proficiency with security tools including SIEM, EDR, and firewall management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
