Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts through SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to intrusions in real-time.
- Conduct thorough security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify potential risks before attackers do.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with cross-functional teams to mitigate threats and restore system integrity.
- Enforce security policies and implement technical controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS) to safeguard organizational assets.
- Manage user access privileges and conduct regular audits to ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, NIST, and SOC2 standards.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security analysis, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation and log analysis.
- Deep understanding of firewalls, endpoint protection systems, and cloud security architectures.
- Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical findings for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
