Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud/on-premise systems
- Develop and implement security controls aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR frameworks
- Lead incident response investigations and create post-mortem reports
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Provide security awareness training to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Manage security tooling (SOAR, EDR, WAF) optimization and tuning
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 2+ years in incident response
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network architecture
- Proficient in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Experience with threat hunting and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Strong knowledge of compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain
