Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to advanced threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Lead security awareness training programs for enterprise stakeholders
- Document security incidents and maintain comprehensive audit trails
- Research emerging threats and contribute to proactive defense strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or GIAC (GSEC preferred)
- Expertise in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architecture
- Ability to work under pressure during high-stakes security incidents
