Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade security solutions including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM systems
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments across cloud and on-premise environments
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, including forensic analysis and remediation
- Develop comprehensive security documentation including policies, procedures, and playbooks
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms like Splunk or QRadar
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles with hands-on incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ required)
- Expertise in network security protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security data
- Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting and team collaboration
