Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events through SIEM tools to detect and respond to potential breaches.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis.
- Develop and maintain robust incident response plans and playbooks.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and SOC 2 standards.
- Collaborate with software engineering and IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and secure cloud environments.
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security trends to proactively defend the organization.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related field.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Azure Sentinel).
- Deep knowledge of network security, encryption, and access control.
- Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
