Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced security monitoring systems using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Lead incident response for complex cyber threats including ransomware and APT attacks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-prem infrastructures
- Develop security automation scripts using Python and PowerShell
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and NYDFS cybersecurity regulations
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to security awareness programs
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with focus on threat detection and response
- Certified CISSP, CEH, or GIAC Security Expert (GSE) required
- Expertise in network security, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and endpoint protection
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) for security automation
- Experience with security frameworks and regulatory compliance
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to document complex security incidents
- BS in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent technical field
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
