Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify potential risks.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to design secure architectures and infrastructure.
- Stay abreast of the latest threat intelligence and emerging cybersecurity trends to proactively defend the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation and security tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
