Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Leverage SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security breaches, working closely with IT operations to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration testing, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments to identify potential weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to industry standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001, maintaining detailed audit trails.
- Security Architecture: Recommend and implement security best practices, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems to enhance our defense-in-depth strategy.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security protocols and phishing awareness.
- Reporting: Produce comprehensive security reports for stakeholders and leadership to inform risk management decisions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ is highly required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP), firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
- Tools: Strong working knowledge of SIEM platforms, log analysis, and scripting (Python or Bash) is a plus.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure during security incidents.
