Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and neutralize threats in real-time.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and code reviews to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop, maintain, and test Incident Response (IR) plans and conduct regular tabletop exercises.
- Enforce strict security policies and ensure strict compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT operations to patch systems, configure firewalls, and harden network perimeters.
- Provide advanced security training and guidance to junior analysts and non-technical staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Certification such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CASP is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or a related role.
- Strong working knowledge of network security concepts, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation and log analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to executive leadership.
