Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight) to detect potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing efforts to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and execute incident response procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and improve security architectures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Active Security+ or CISSP certification is highly preferred; CISSP is a plus.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Information Security role.
- Proficiency with Python or PowerShell scripting for security automation.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
