Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, etc.).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in systems and networks.
- Implement and maintain security controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to protect organizational assets.
- Develop and execute incident response plans to mitigate breaches and restore system integrity swiftly.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and improve overall security posture.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff and create threat intelligence reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Valid certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
