Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, etc.).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT teams to secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
