Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum solutions for Fortune 500 partners
- Author peer-reviewed publications in Nature/Science journals with 3+ annual submissions
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through government/industry grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdocs in quantum information theory
- Present findings at global tech summits (World Economic Forum, IEEE Quantum Week)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in top-tier journals (minimum 3 Nature/Science papers)
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proven track record of securing government research grants (NSF, DOE)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into business applications
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contract work
