Responsibilities
- Lead research in quantum algorithm development for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Develop and test quantum error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with quantum hardware engineers to co-design next-generation processors
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at international conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from government and private institutions
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation
- Translate theoretical research into practical quantum computing solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or similar)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and linear algebra fundamentals
- Expertise in at least one classical high-performance computing framework
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Strong track record of securing research funding or patents
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
