Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into practical applications
- Author breakthrough research papers for peer-reviewed publications
- Partner with government agencies on quantum security initiatives
- Prototype quantum machine learning frameworks for real-world deployment
- Advise executive leadership on quantum technology roadmap and market impact
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and gate-level optimization
- Proficiency with quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes
- Experience securing DoD or NSF quantum research grants
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
