Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms with practical applications in machine learning and optimization
- Lead multi-disciplinary research teams in developing error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors achieving 1000+ qubit stability
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Translate theoretical quantum advantage into commercial solutions for finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Secure $2M+ in external grants from NSF and DARPA quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science through our partnership with UT Austin
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or variational quantum algorithms
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (DARPA/NSF preferred)
- Expertise in topological quantum computing or quantum machine learning
- Strong track record of cross-disciplinary collaboration with AI/ML teams
