Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical quantum models into scalable solutions
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and industry conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing systems
- Secure external research funding through NSF and DoE grant applications

Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum information science
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and collaborate across disciplines
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
