Responsibilities
- Architect and implement quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Drive research in quantum error correction and qubit stabilization techniques
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Secure $15M+ in research funding through NSF and DoD grants
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and quantum engineering interns
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Experience with superconducting and trapped-ion quantum computing platforms
- Deep understanding of quantum cryptography and quantum communication protocols
- Strong background in complex system optimization and high-performance computing
- Exceptional grant-writing and research leadership capabilities
- Patience for navigating regulatory frameworks in quantum technology
