Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm research for practical industry applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research funding
- Publish findings in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD researchers and develop quantum curriculum standards
- Partner with AWS/IBM on quantum cloud integration frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum computing research with peer-reviewed publications
- Expertise in quantum algorithms and error correction techniques
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
- Experience leading technical teams of 10+ researchers
- Familiarity with D-Wave/IBM/Qiskit quantum computing platforms
- Strong background in cryptography or materials science
