Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize quantum algorithms for NISQ (Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum) devices.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence times and reduce error rates.
- Implement and test quantum circuits using industry-standard frameworks like Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil.
- Analyze large-scale quantum data sets to identify patterns and optimize computational paths.
- Lead technical research into emerging quantum error correction codes.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to ensure high standards of quality and security.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complex numbers.
- Experience with quantum programming languages and simulators (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, QuTiP).
- Familiarity with cloud quantum platforms (AWS Braket, IBM Quantum Experience, or Google Cirq).
- Demonstrated ability to publish research or contribute to open-source quantum software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, experimental environment.
