Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures for commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and engineers to develop quantum algorithms
- Collaborate with AI research teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Present quantum computing roadmap to C-suite executives and industry partners
- Secure $50M+ in research grants and strategic partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum mechanics and systems design
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 10+ years experience considered)
- 5+ years experience with quantum computing architectures (IBM, Rigetti, or IonQ preferred)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience leading technical teams and managing R&D budgets
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into business strategy
