Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases and test scripts to identify software defects and bugs.
- Document and track bugs using issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and provide clear reproduction steps.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and verify that features are working as intended.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that recent code changes have not negatively impacted existing functionality.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings to stay aligned with project goals.
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of test plans and test data.
Qualifications
- No prior experience required—we provide the training.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
- Basic understanding of computer systems, operating systems, and web browsers.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and learn new tools quickly.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) is preferred but not mandatory.
