We are seeking a visionary Prompt Engineer to join our elite engineering team. In this role, you will be the architect of our AI's voice, crafting the precise instructions that guide Large Language Models to deliver exceptional results.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of linguistics and machine learning in a fully remote-friendly environment, with a hub in San Jose.
Responsibilities
- Master Prompt Architecture: Design, test, and refine complex prompt chains and few-shot learning strategies for LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude) to ensure high accuracy and creativity.
- Optimize AI Outputs: Continuously analyze model responses to identify bottlenecks and iterate on prompt engineering techniques to improve performance metrics.
- Collaborate on Product Strategy: Work closely with Product Managers and Data Scientists to define conversational flows, tone of voice, and AI behavior requirements.
- Build Prompt Libraries: Establish scalable, reusable prompt templates that can be deployed across various internal and external products.
- Evaluate Model Performance: Conduct rigorous A/B testing and user studies to validate prompt effectiveness and user satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Technical Fluency: Deep understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts and the architecture of Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Language Mastery: Exceptional command of English grammar, style, and nuance with the ability to detect subtle errors.
- Experience: Proven track record of prompt engineering for production applications or research projects.
- Creativity: Strong ability to think laterally and creatively to solve ambiguous problems using AI.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
