Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize prompts for large language models (LLMs) including GPT-4, Claude, and proprietary systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective prompt strategies
- Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis of prompt variations
- Document prompt engineering methodologies and best practices
- Stay current with emerging AI tools and techniques through continuous research
- Develop evaluation frameworks to assess prompt effectiveness and output quality
- Mentor junior team members on prompt engineering principles
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of prompt engineering or NLP experience with proven track record
- Expertise in AI frameworks (OpenAI, Hugging Face, Anthropic)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional written communication with attention to linguistic nuance
- Experience with prompt optimization and iterative refinement
- Portfolio demonstrating prompt engineering projects and results
