Join our dynamic QA team as a Part-Time Tester and help deliver flawless digital experiences to users across the Pacific Northwest. We're seeking detail-oriented professionals passionate about quality assurance to work 20-25 hours weekly in our vibrant Portland office.
As a key member of our QA division, you'll collaborate with developers, product managers, and UX designers to identify and document defects before launch. This hybrid role offers flexible scheduling while maintaining hands-on testing responsibilities in a fast-paced tech environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute manual and automated test cases for web/mobile applications
- Document bugs using JIRA with clear reproduction steps and severity levels
- Perform regression testing on new features and critical bug fixes
- Validate UI/UX consistency across devices and browsers
- Participate in agile sprint ceremonies and test planning sessions
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases
- Maintain detailed test documentation and test metrics
Qualifications
- 2+ years of QA/testing experience with software development lifecycle
- Proficiency in bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management systems
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing
- Basic knowledge of automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
