Responsibilities
- Design, test, and optimize prompts for large language models (LLMs) including GPT-4 and custom AI systems
- Develop prompt libraries and documentation to standardize AI interactions
- Conduct A/B testing of prompt variations to improve accuracy and relevance
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate prompt engineering into product workflows
- Analyze model outputs to identify prompt improvement opportunities
- Stay current with emerging AI techniques and industry best practices
- Create training materials for internal teams on prompt engineering principles
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of hands-on prompt engineering experience with LLMs
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI frameworks (Hugging Face, LangChain)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot model inconsistencies
- Excellent written communication and creative problem-solving abilities
- Portfolio demonstrating prompt engineering projects and their outcomes
- Understanding of ethical AI development and bias mitigation strategies
