Responsibilities
- Optimization & Development: Design and refine complex system prompts and user-facing prompts to enhance the accuracy, safety, and relevance of LLM outputs.
- A/B Testing: Execute rigorous testing protocols to compare prompt variations, measuring success metrics such as response coherence and user satisfaction.
- Edge Case Analysis: Identify and mitigate hallucinations, biases, and logical inconsistencies in AI-generated text.
- Creative Strategy: Brainstorm innovative prompt engineering techniques to unlock new capabilities in content generation and data synthesis.
- Documentation: Maintain a centralized library of prompt templates and best practices for the engineering team to leverage.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data scientists and product managers to translate business requirements into effective AI prompt strategies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven track record in prompt engineering or working directly with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face).
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with API integration (Python, JavaScript) and basic scripting to automate prompt testing.
- Language Mastery: Exceptional command of the English language, including a deep understanding of syntax, semantics, and tone.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to deconstruct complex problems into solvable AI instructions.
- Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating successful prompt engineering case studies or specific examples of improved AI interactions.
- Availability: Ability to commit to 10-20 hours per week on a consistent schedule.
