We are currently looking for a Part-Time Prompt Engineer to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles. In this role, you will be the bridge between human creativity and machine intelligence, crafting the precise language that guides our AI models to generate world-class content.
As a part-time contractor, you will enjoy the flexibility of remote or hybrid work while working with cutting-edge Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT-4 and Claude. If you are obsessed with language, logic, and the potential of AI, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Prompt Optimization: Design, test, and refine complex prompts to maximize the output quality and creativity of generative AI models.
- Model Evaluation: Analyze AI responses to identify biases, errors, or hallucinations and iterate on prompt structures to correct them.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain a centralized library of high-performing prompts and best practices for the engineering team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and designers to define specific AI use cases and user personas.
- Technical Reporting: Document testing methodologies and provide regular reports on model performance metrics.
- Experimentation: Stay ahead of the curve by experimenting with new model updates and prompting techniques.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience using LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere) for text generation tasks.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of Python or JavaScript is highly preferred; familiarity with APIs is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Adaptability: Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, English, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
