Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform routine network maintenance, upgrades, and security patching to ensure system integrity.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues and hardware failures efficiently.
- Assist in the deployment of new network infrastructure and end-user devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and change logs.
- Monitor network performance and uptime to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement best practices for network security.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in IT or related field preferred.
- Valid CompTIA Network+ certification is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
