Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Respond to and resolve help desk tickets related to connectivity issues, IP addressing, and subnetting.
- Assist with physical network infrastructure, including cable management, rack mounting, and patching.
- Document network changes, configurations, and incident reports accurately.
- Collaborate with the IT team to upgrade legacy systems and improve network security protocols.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- CompTIA Network+ certification or Cisco CCNA is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in network administration, troubleshooting, and hardware installation.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during part-time shifts.
