Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform regular network audits, patch management, and security updates to maintain system integrity.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity issues, cable faults, and hardware failures.
- Manage and maintain accurate network documentation, including IP addressing schemes and topology diagrams.
- Assist in physical network infrastructure projects, such as cable termination (CAT6), wall-port installation, and rack organization.
- Monitor network performance and traffic logs to identify bottlenecks and optimize bandwidth usage.
- Provide technical support to end-users regarding network access and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Certification such as CompTIA Network+ or CCNA is a significant plus.
- Proven experience in LAN/WAN troubleshooting and network maintenance.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and subnetting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required for on-site travel).
