Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and implement optimization strategies
- Provide remote and on-site technical support for network connectivity issues
- Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with IT team to ensure network security compliance
- Assist with network upgrades and expansion projects
- Train users on network protocols and best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification preferred
- Proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network equipment
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional client visits
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
