Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues using diagnostic tools and protocols
- Implement security measures to protect network infrastructure from vulnerabilities
- Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting processes
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for network-related user inquiries
- Collaborate with IT team to implement network upgrades and expansions
- Monitor network performance using monitoring tools and optimize bandwidth usage
- Assist with network backups, disaster recovery planning, and compliance audits
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or Network Administration or equivalent experience
- CompTIA Network+ or equivalent network certification required
- 2+ years hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper enterprise networking equipment
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios)
- Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose complex network issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
