Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel) to identify and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure software development practices.
- Generate and maintain detailed security reports and documentation for compliance audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Network+.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in network security or SOC operations.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting purposes.
- Willingness to relocate to San Antonio, TX or work remotely from Georgia (if applicable).
