Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and respond to alerts/incidents within SLA requirements
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies and procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze security logs using SIEM tools to identify potential threats
- Assist in incident response planning and tabletop exercises
- Stay current on emerging threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection
- Active Security+ or CISSP certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize critical issues
- Effective written communication for security reporting and documentation
- Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally
