Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity and alerts.
- Conduct routine vulnerability scans and security assessments on internal networks.
- Configure and manage firewall policies to ensure network integrity.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, including phishing attempts and malware.
- Assist in maintaining documentation for security policies and compliance standards (NIST/ISO).
- Perform regular audits of user access rights and privileges.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a SOC or Security Operations role.
- Certifications such as Security+, Network+, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems.
- Experience with tools like Splunk, CrowdStrike, or FireEye.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
