Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and correlate data to identify potential threats
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents and document detailed incident reports
- Analyze network traffic patterns using Wireshark and IDS/IPS systems to detect anomalies
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, EDR solutions, and access management systems
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and patch management
- Stay current with emerging threats and threat intelligence reports
- Participate in periodic security audits and compliance assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification preferred
- 2+ years experience in threat detection, incident response, or SOC operations
- Proficiency in security tools: SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and packet analyzers
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and attack vectors
- Experience with Linux/Windows system administration and security hardening
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize in high-pressure situations
- Valid U.S. work authorization and ability to pass background check
