Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to identify and investigate suspicious network activity
- Analyze vulnerability reports and prioritize remediation efforts based on risk assessment
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents and compile detailed incident reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and maintain compliance frameworks
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Assist in developing security awareness training for employees
- Perform periodic penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection and incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex security data
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA)
- Experience with Windows/Linux environments and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation
