Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and investigate cyber threats using SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop incident response plans and execute security protocols
- Analyze network traffic for suspicious activity and anomalies
- Generate comprehensive security reports for stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices
- Stay updated on emerging threats and regulatory compliance requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with hands-on threat detection
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and firewalls
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and HIPAA compliance
- Experience with incident response and forensic investigation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Active NYS security clearance preferred
