Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in network infrastructure.
- Analyze network traffic logs for anomalies and suspicious activities to prevent data breaches.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN configurations.
- Assist in the development and execution of incident response plans and disaster recovery procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and secure endpoints.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT field.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common security protocols.
- Experience with security tools such as Splunk, SIEM platforms, or Firewalls.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
